May 3, G & R RV park, Delaware

Today we headed a little further north up the East Coast, from Virginia Beach to Maryland then into Delaware.  This trip was the first day of really bad wind and because we weren't on a major highway
we went through all the little towns with their obligatory traffic lights.  The best part of the trip was going over and through the Chesapeake Tunnel/Bridge.  We did this trip a few years back by car, which was exciting but doing it with a Motor home is something else.
When planning this section of the trip, we couldn't find a KOA park in this part of the world.  We did find a campground in Harrison, Delaware, which looked pretty and respectable.  Follow the pictures and you will realize we were a little worried when we got here.  At the entrance was a fairly respectable sign board, G & R Campground, on Gun & Rod Road, down the long, paved driveway we were still quite happy. Round the next corner stood this old, rusted truck and camper, still looking for the office, we passed a row of motor homes, obviously in storage, in the corner there was a very sketchy looking building, the office.  To cut a long story short, we checked in, were escorted to our site.  A lovely treed area that definitely needs some TLC and as I type this we can only see one other occupant in this park.

May 2, Virginia Beach

Today we took an Uber ride down to the beachfront. Had a long walk along the boardwalk watching the Navy F18's rocketing past then Ubered back.

May 1, Virginia Beach KOA, Virginia

After a 200 Mile drive arrived in Virginia Beach KOA. Very large but well treed park. Gradually working our way up the east coast.

April 30, Raleigh Oaks, NC

Owen and family came over for afternoon tea. We had a lovely time with the young people with lots of fun and laughter.
