Today we visited Mackinac Island.  We were picked up from the KOA by the ferry company bus and taken to the ferry to cross to Mackinac Island.  This is the Island where there are no cars allowed, only mode of transport is bicycle or horse.  We visited this island in 2009 with Faye and Henry and we were unable to go to the Fort at the top of the hill, due to Dirk's bad knee.  Well this time we did a horse cart trip around the island and were able to get off and see the fort and watch the canon being fired.
It is a very beautiful island, with beautiful sights. The last picture shows the Grand Hotel, what a fantastic sight and I believe that they serve the most expensive cup of coffee - $5.00
