Today we headed a little further north up the East Coast, from Virginia Beach to Maryland then into Delaware. This trip was the first day of really bad wind and because we weren't on a major highway
we went through all the little towns with their obligatory traffic lights. The best part of the trip was going over and through the Chesapeake Tunnel/Bridge. We did this trip a few years back by car, which was exciting but doing it with a Motor home is something else.
When planning this section of the trip, we couldn't find a KOA park in this part of the world. We did find a campground in Harrison, Delaware, which looked pretty and respectable. Follow the pictures and you will realize we were a little worried when we got here. At the entrance was a fairly respectable sign board, G & R Campground, on Gun & Rod Road, down the long, paved driveway we were still quite happy. Round the next corner stood this old, rusted truck and camper, still looking for the office, we passed a row of motor homes, obviously in storage, in the corner there was a very sketchy looking building, the office. To cut a long story short, we checked in, were escorted to our site. A lovely treed area that definitely needs some TLC and as I type this we can only see one other occupant in this park.
