Wow, what a wonderful day we have had today. As most of you might know, I, Colleen Bal, have never ridden a bicycle in my life before. It is a family joke, "ladies don't ride bikes" we were told. Well today I broke that rule. Top Sail Hill Preserve have bikes to rent, and in the middle of the storage area, was an adult trike, so we rented it and a 2 wheeler for Dirk and off we went to explore the area that one can't get to other than bike or walk. The wind was howling on the beach, so it was the right day to do some cycling. Today I gained my independence, even used my bike to go to the laundry, it has a basket on the back big enough for a large bag of washing. I think I am going to offer my services, to advertise their rental bikes.
We have had such a wonderful day that we have decided to stay on for an extra day, and hoping to get another day here if one becomes available. The park is very full at the moment and because it is such a beautiful park, they seem to be pretty full most of the time.
