April 29, Raleigh Oaks, NC
We traveled 50 miles from our campsite to spend a wonderful day with Owen and family. We accompanied Owen and Dylan to Dylan's Taekwondo class. We have another budding photographer in the family, the last two pictures were taken by Dylan with Dirk's camera. It was great to be in the family environment. Thanks again Owen and Tamlyn for a lovely day.

April 27, Myrtle Beach, SC
Today was a rest day. We went to breakfast on the beach front on our hired golf cart, quite a scary experience. This golf cart has no rear view mirror, no indicators and runs of a battery. We weren't sure whether we would get back to camp before the battery ran out, but we had fun and lots of laughter.
The pictures today are taken in and around the RV park and beach front. This is a beautiful tree filled park.

April 26, Myrtle Beack KOA, South Carolina
We traveled from Charleston to Myrtle Beach, a very busy 120 miles. It was not a freeway road, like we have become used to, it went through all the little towns up the east coast.
The KOA is a beautiful park, but very large. We decided to rent a golf cart to get around especially when laundry has to be done. We can also use it to go to the beach front. Haha.

April 25, Charleston, South Carolina
After yesterday's rain, we were very pleased to see the weather looked like clearing, so off we went to downtown Charleston, S.C. One Uber trip into town, because Dirk had a nightmare last night about driving his 32' motor home into town and parking it in the garage, so it was definitely Uber to the rescue.
We went on an historic downtown tour, once again some very old, well kept old homes, totally different architecture to Savannah. Unfortunately the tour was in a closed bus and no stopping along the way, photographs were hard to get without the window frame, but Dirk managed to get some. We also found out why yesterdays rain storm caused such terrible flooding. The storm broke at the same time as High Tide and when the two met there was nowhere else to go. Years ago the powers that be at the time, closed up all canals that would have absorbed that amount of water, and not caused the flooding. Once again we were impressed by the South.
We then took Henry's advice and went to the famous Hymans restaurant, for a fabulous seafood lunch, sorry I had seafood lunch but Dirk had a chicken sandwich. Then Ubered back to camp.
