June 11, Wapakoneta, Ohio

Today we crossed the border into our home State, Ohio.  There was nothing much to report on, except the wind and road works.  The road works were not bad as it was Sunday and the work was VERY necessary but the wind, that was another problem.  It really felt like a boat trip, not a road trip, anyway we arrived safely at our last KOA for this trip.  We can't believe that our adventure that we started 2 months ago, has come to an end.  As we look back at our trip, we can only say we had a wonderful trip and we are sooooo blessed to be able to travel as we do.
As you can see from the second picture, there are only 4 States that we have not yet visited or passed through ie Nebraska, Missouri, Kansas and although Dirk has visited Hawaii I have not. Hopefully we will be able to rectify all but Hawaii next year.
The next few days will be spent preparing our RV for storage, then we will be with Henry for a week before returning home.

June 6, Traverse City, MI

Had a great day visting four wineries in the Old Missionary Peninsula. We found a company that would pick us up from the KOA which is quite a distance from Traverse City.  We then picked up 3 young couples from a motel and 4 ladies, out for a "girls day out"  The ladies were loud when they got on the bus, but by the time we were on the way home, they were extra loud.  We even found a South African wine maker namely Coenraad, the big guy in the photo 2 up. Still think they had the best Red Wine because of him. As you can see, it turned into a bit of a party on the bus.

June 5, Traverse City, Michigan

Today we crossed the famous Mackinac  Bridge, still impressive. Checked into the Traverse city KOA after our obligatory Walmart visit in the city of Gaylord. Tomorrow we are going on a wine tour, should be fun.
